The Elizabeth Ryan Foundation was founded by a Pennsylvania State Trooper with 20 years of service and 6 years in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard.
Through both military and law enforcement experience, he has spent his career working alongside individuals in high-stress, high-responsibility roles—where resilience, mental clarity, and support systems are critical.
This firsthand understanding of the pressures faced by first responders and service members directly shapes the mission of the foundation: providing meaningful, effective support through the unique connection between humans and well-trained therapy dogs.
